The search for the meaning of life is as old as reasoning humankind. The desire for happiness is nearly that old as well. Ages and ages of people have asked, “Where is happiness?” They have looked in many, many places. To name just a few: in substances that alter the mind, in totally abandonment to sensory pleasures, in power, in wisdom, in possession. Some of the places where humankind have looked are not inherently bad or evil. Most simply are, that is, they exist, and we humans tend to overindulge in such and lose our way.
Take power as just one example. In a civilized society, someone or some governmental body, must assume responsibility for civil order. If an individual is given the power to rule others, it has been shown over and over that the individual may become “power-hungry.” He or she may want more and more control. And, having a police force of some type at the command, may overwhelm the usual order. Thus subjugating the citizens to abuse of power. Power itself is necessary to maintain order in a society. But the use of power may escalate beyond keeping order into tyranny. Power of itself is not evil. The abuse, over use, of power is.
People think, “This is good. More of it will be even better.” Power brings a good feeling to most humans. They then think more power will make them feel even better. It is actually a constant search for happiness. For feeling good.
But all worldly happiness, that is, all happiness based outside of one’s self, will miscarry. But you already know this

instinctually. You may not have recognized it until your read these words, but you have the means to find happiness already. If it does not exist in “the world,” it must live within. For there is only within and without.
And within you have always known you are not alone. Since you become conscious of your own mind, you have recognized that there are other voices in your head. Now, do not hear me to say that all of us are insanely hearing voices in our head. Rather, I am talking about the internal dialogue that we all maintain. And when we are quiet with ourselves, we can “hear” the Great Inner Voice. I am not going religious fanatic on you here. I am merely stating the obvious. All of us normal humans have a Connection. But we are usually so busy with other concerns that we do not take time to make that Connection with the Inner Voice. However, we intuitively experience The Voice’s existence.
So, when we focus regularly for short periods of time (prayer or meditation) on The Great Inner Voice, we find the location of happiness. We listen and respond with communication of our own through what is named faith. Faith here means simply believing when we cannot physically see something.
We know we have made this Connection when we feel the bliss that comes when we make the link. You know this is true as you have experienced it in moments of joy. An outward event may have sparked the joy, but the joy itself is felt within you. You made Connection with Bliss. Your bliss. The Bliss of the ages. The happiness was yours.
Start today. Start right now. Or restart right now, to Connect with The Great Inner Voice and you will know happiness, the meaning of life.
And I invite you to find more bliss. I ask to you sign up for Free Instant Access to some of my Force-Source-Resources.
