The Meaning of Life and Our Earthly Disguises

meaningoflifeandourearthly disguises

Missing the meaning of life, to be happy, has something to do with the disguises we wear. These disguises are provided to us by our egos. The ego is afraid of many things. One of the important items it fears is that people will not like you unless you present yourself as something more, or other than, you really are. So the ego makes up false identities, disguises.

The body encased ego is governed by its own likes and dislikes. It dislikes being seen as something less than it wants by other people. So it prepares costumes for you to wear. It thinks that you are imperfect the way you are. Therefore, it must constantly reinvent you in the way it thinks the world will like. Like an actor who keeps all his old costumes because he just “knows” he’ll be called upon to play that role again.

But this costume changing keeps you on edge. What shall I wear next? What is the appropriate ensemble for the people I want to impress today? I must avoid the appearance of imperfection at all costs. What if they don’t like me?

Now, don’t get me wrong. We all want to be liked. But when we go out of our way to please others, we are missing the meaning of life within – to be happy. To be happy with oneself.

When you accept and know that your soul, the real you, is of the Divine Nature, you can become calm and relaxed. Your soul, your true self is an individual reflection of Divine Spirit. Therefore, your soul, the real you, is unassailably perfect. What? You ask, “I am perfect?”

“Yes,” I answer, “you are perfect in the core of you, the soul.” This body of ours will mess up. This ego we all carry around will cause us no end of trouble. But the real you, you at the soul-level, is forever and indestructibly perfect.

When you realize this and practice it, day and night, a calmness that passes all understanding comes over you. You still want to dress well, for example. But you no longer worry what others will think. You will say what you feel, for another example, in the most appropriate way, when you perceive it is right and good.

And the whole of human experience is accepted with composure and equanimity, without forming likes and dislikes as the ego would have them.

The appearance of imperfection will fall away from. For you will sense in your soul, that you are as God created you. Perfect. Yes, we all have

troubles and we get into trouble. But who we really are, inside, in the Spirit, is undisturbedly perfect.

What can you do with a perfect soul? You can feel better about yourself. You can feel at ease within your own skin. You can know that nothing can ever again agitate you out of who you really are. In short, you will have found, again, the meaning of life, to be happy.

The Meaning of Life and the Power of Faith (Focus)

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

thepoweroffaithfocusLast blogpost, just below, I talked of the meaning of life and the Power of Focus. I showed how it is that most folks do not accomplish what they wish because they do not focus, really focus in on what they want. They are light general daylight. Quite enough to see, but not concentrated enough to cut steel. What you need is to focus like a laser beam that does cut steel.

But, scientifically speaking, you cannot see a laser beam except at its point of origin and the spot on the wall. Maybe you have one of those laser pointers that people use to tease their pets. (Never shine it in their eyes.) You can see the light at the point of the laser apparatus and you can see the little spot on the wall that the apparatus projects. But you cannot see the beam from the apparatus to the floor. (Except, of course, in the movies.) If you had some smoke or dust in the air, the beam would be seen as it flowed through that smoke or dust.

But when you turn on the laser creating thing, and see the dot on the steel you are going to cut, at first you have to have faith that something is going to happen. Faith is belief in things as yet unseen. In other words, you can’t see the beam. When the steel begins to smoke and melt away under the intense heat of the laser beam, then your faith in confirmed.

So faith is a component of focus. When you focus your life on some accomplishment, you know the point of origin (you) and see can see what it you want to accomplish (your goal). But you can’t see the connecting beam. Because you can’t see the beam, some folks walk away before getting accomplished what they wanted.

youarewhatyouthinkaboutBut “you are what you think about all day long” is a true statement (a la Ralph Waldo Emerson). Tried and true. Hang in there. Just because you can’t see the laser beam, doesn’t mean the laser isn’t going to work.

And you have enough faith within you right now, already. Some people think they need enormous amounts of faith to do what it is they want. Or to be what it is they want. When you have enough faith to go to your vehicle, turn the ignition and expect the engine to start, you already have enough faith. When you have enough faith while driving over rolling hills and continue to drive even when you cannot see over the next hill, you already have enough faith. Jesus of Nazareth said, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you could move this mountain,” he wasn’t talking through his hat. (Far as we know he didn’t wear a hat, anyway.)

You believe you don’t have enough faith to focus your life sufficiently to accomplish what it is you wish. BUT YOU DO! While focusing your life, use the power of faith to sustain yourself. Soon they will mingle together to consolidated into a single beam. Very much like a laser beam is the consolidation of many scattered elements of light into a fusion of a strong, single ray.

Focus. Faith. You have the ability for both, right now. Use them. And you will better know the meaning of life.

And I invite you to further focus. I ask to you sign up for Free Instant Access to some of my Force-Source-Resources. The Meaning of Life and Your Mental Capacity as a Holographic Tool

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

Obviously, your mental capacity has a lot to do with the meaning of life. Your brain, after all, is where the mind finds part of its residence. I have been reading recently from The Holographic Universe, by Michael Talbot. The items Talbot talks about are astounding. For example, and in my own words, the mind is far, far larger, more vast than anyone ever imagined.

But what does this have to do with the meaning of life? Well, for one thing, we can say that the meaning of life, to be happy, is not confined to the physical structure, or grey matter, of mental capacity. The mind and/or brain is one part of a giant hologram – the Universe. Essentially that means that any part of the universe, no matter its size, contains the whole of the Universe. Just like any part of a true piece of holographic film holds the whole of the image on the film.

(What’s a hologram? Look on any of your credit cards and you will find a symbol that seems to come off the surface toward you. That is in essence a holographic image. Or remember the first in the series of Stars Wars to come out. Princess Leia’s holographic image is projected from C-3PO, as Leia tries to contact Obi-Wan “Ben” Kenobi.)

If the entire Universe is a hologram and your mental capacity is one part of that hologram, the whole Universe is out for you to be happy. The Universe “wants” you to be happy.

Why? Happiness may be defined as harmony, perfect harmony. So the Universe, being total or perfect in and of itself, seeks Its own happiness. But when It does, It takes you “along with it.” Because it is holographic, each “piece” of it contains the Total. So, you as a piece of the Total, your highest value, so to speak, is to be happy, as the Universe is and seeks to be. The meaning of life is in the very Structure of the Universe AND, therefore, in your own mental capacity.

I wholeheartedly invite comments and concerns.
