The Meaning of Life and Your Mental Capacity as a Holographic Tool

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

Obviously, your mental capacity has a lot to do with the meaning of life. Your brain, after all, is where the mind finds part of its residence. I have been reading recently from The Holographic Universe, by Michael Talbot. The items Talbot talks about are astounding. For example, and in my own words, the mind is far, far larger, more vast than anyone ever imagined.

But what does this have to do with the meaning of life? Well, for one thing, we can say that the meaning of life, to be happy, is not confined to the physical structure, or grey matter, of mental capacity. The mind and/or brain is one part of a giant hologram – the Universe. Essentially that means that any part of the universe, no matter its size, contains the whole of the Universe. Just like any part of a true piece of holographic film holds the whole of the image on the film.

(What’s a hologram? Look on any of your credit cards and you will find a symbol that seems to come off the surface toward you. That is in essence a holographic image. Or remember the first in the series of Stars Wars to come out. Princess Leia’s holographic image is projected from C-3PO, as Leia tries to contact Obi-Wan “Ben” Kenobi.)

If the entire Universe is a hologram and your mental capacity is one part of that hologram, the whole Universe is out for you to be happy. The Universe “wants” you to be happy.

Why? Happiness may be defined as harmony, perfect harmony. So the Universe, being total or perfect in and of itself, seeks Its own happiness. But when It does, It takes you “along with it.” Because it is holographic, each “piece” of it contains the Total. So, you as a piece of the Total, your highest value, so to speak, is to be happy, as the Universe is and seeks to be. The meaning of life is in the very Structure of the Universe AND, therefore, in your own mental capacity.

The Meaning of Life and Your Brain as a Holographic Instrument
