The Meaning of Life and the Power of Faith (Focus)

thepoweroffaithfocusLast blogpost, just below, I talked of the meaning of life and the Power of Focus. I showed how it is that most folks do not accomplish what they wish because they do not focus, really focus in on what they want. They are light general daylight. Quite enough to see, but not concentrated enough to cut steel. What you need is to focus like a laser beam that does cut steel.

But, scientifically speaking, you cannot see a laser beam except at its point of origin and the spot on the wall. Maybe you have one of those laser pointers that people use to tease their pets. (Never shine it in their eyes.) You can see the light at the point of the laser apparatus and you can see the little spot on the wall that the apparatus projects. But you cannot see the beam from the apparatus to the floor. (Except, of course, in the movies.) If you had some smoke or dust in the air, the beam would be seen as it flowed through that smoke or dust.

But when you turn on the laser creating thing, and see the dot on the steel you are going to cut, at first you have to have faith that something is going to happen. Faith is belief in things as yet unseen. In other words, you can’t see the beam. When the steel begins to smoke and melt away under the intense heat of the laser beam, then your faith in confirmed.

So faith is a component of focus. When you focus your life on some accomplishment, you know the point of origin (you) and see can see what it you want to accomplish (your goal). But you can’t see the connecting beam. Because you can’t see the beam, some folks walk away before getting accomplished what they wanted.

youarewhatyouthinkaboutBut “you are what you think about all day long” is a true statement (a la Ralph Waldo Emerson). Tried and true. Hang in there. Just because you can’t see the laser beam, doesn’t mean the laser isn’t going to work.

And you have enough faith within you right now, already. Some people think they need enormous amounts of faith to do what it is they want. Or to be what it is they want. When you have enough faith to go to your vehicle, turn the ignition and expect the engine to start, you already have enough faith. When you have enough faith while driving over rolling hills and continue to drive even when you cannot see over the next hill, you already have enough faith. Jesus of Nazareth said, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you could move this mountain,” he wasn’t talking through his hat. (Far as we know he didn’t wear a hat, anyway.)

You believe you don’t have enough faith to focus your life sufficiently to accomplish what it is you wish. BUT YOU DO! While focusing your life, use the power of faith to sustain yourself. Soon they will mingle together to consolidated into a single beam. Very much like a laser beam is the consolidation of many scattered elements of light into a fusion of a strong, single ray.

Focus. Faith. You have the ability for both, right now. Use them. And you will better know the meaning of life.

The Meaning of Life and the Power of Focus

themeaningoflifeandthepoweroffocusThe meaning of life has to do with, among other things, focus. Many folks don’t get out of life what they want because they lack focus.

Let’s take a scientific example. During daylight hours there is light all around us. Even on the cloudiest days, there is light from the sky, dim as it may be. That light from the sky seems to surround us. As long as we are outdoors, we cannot escape that light. But that light lacks focus.

Yes, generalized light has the power to grow crops and help us see. But in terms of real power, impressive power, generalized light, as in daylight, lacks sufficient impact. However, when light is focused through a laser beam creating apparatus, the power of visible light, increases significantly. Ordinary daylight cannot cut steel plate. But laser light, light focused into a beam, does cut steel.

laser eye surgeryI recently had eye surgery to repair a tear in my left retina. Ordinary light coming through the lens of my eye could not repair that rent. Yes, I could see by the light entering the eye. But the rip could not be repair with generalized light. A retina specialist used an argon laser to send bursts of focused light through the opening in the eyeball and sealed up the rift on the surface of the retina. Very intense light, let me tell you.

Well, the reason some folks don’t get what they want or need from life is because they live lives of generalization. Their lives are not focused. Their thinking is nearly always universalized. Now, do not hear me to be critical of these folks and their way of thinking. We all need to have some generalization in our lives. It is how we live normally.

But for you who wish to change your lives, you have to focus. If you want a job, you can’t just sit there and expect a job to walk through the door and present itself to you. You have to focus your thoughts and life on getting a job. If things aren’t happening in your life like you want, maybe your are not focused enough.

Concentrate your energies into a sharpened shaft of energy. Gather your powers of will and launch yourself mentally, spiritually, physically at what you want to achieve or receive. Some folks call this manifesting. Some other folks call it faith. (More about faith and focus next blogpost.) It really is focusing.

The meaning of life is to be happy. You can easily live with that generalized statement. But to manifest life the way you wan, (all good and legitimately results), you have to focus. You already know how to do this. Make it a conscious effort beginning in this minute. When done well you will amaze yourself at what gets done by and through you.
