The Meaning of Life Involves You Finding Happiness

The meaning of life involves you finding happiness. To find happiness you have to know that you are connected to Something greater than yourself. See if this illustration relates.

In front of you there is a delicious looking cherry pie. (Substitute your favorite flavor of pie, if cherry is not. Cherry is my favorite.) Someone then cuts a generous piece out of the whole pie and serves it to a person sitting at table with you. You can ask yourself, how do I know that is cherry pie? (Go ahead, humor me for a moment.) The obvious answer is that it is a piece of cherry pie. The answer is so obvious that is seems almost silly to ask the question. Yet the entire process, asking the question and receiving the answer is of great significance.

That piece of pie we know of as cherry because it came from a whole cherry pie. Like came from like. Well, I say that

Cherry Pie, mmmmmmmmmm

Cherry Pie, mmmmmmmmmm

God is All in All, The Source of All That Is. I say that you (and I) came from God. If God is All, then you are part of the All. You are the All, so to speak. Like coming from like. There is no difference between the piece of the pie and the entire pie, except size.

God is everything and is in everything. Therefore, you are in God and God in you. No difference except maybe size. Do you see what value you have? You are the hands, feet, eyes, ears, etc., of The Source of All That Is. What The Source does, you do. What The Source Is, you are. Do you see the connection?

In this connection is happiness to be found, and, therefore, the meaning of life. You are here for one over-arching, all-important reason. To be happy.

There is no conflict in The Source. The Source is total harmony. The Source is in complete resonance with Itself. In other words, The Source is completely Happy. Your reason for being here is the same. Like after like.

The meaning of your life is to be happy. The reason you exists is to be happy. This is just the first part. There is much more to know about happiness. We’ll explore that together over the next several blogs. But from this happiness comes all your reason to be here. Through happiness you answer the question of “Why am I here?”

Understand today that you are part of the Great Harmony, the Great Happiness. From that base or start, all the rest of life flows into an endless stream of meaning, the meaning of life.

The Meaning of Life Means To Be Happy With These Extras

It is very easy to say the meaning of life is to be happy. But what does that really mean?

It means you find happiness.

Which consists knowing that you deserve to be happy. I would even say you are entitled to happiness. Happiness is your God-given connection to the Source. It is already built into you.

When you understand that you deserve happiness through connection to the Source, then you know that you may love yourself and others. The Source is All. If The Source is All, then The Source is in you and you are in The Source.

This notion, being eternally connected with The All, gives you self-esteem, when you accept it. But please see I said “accept” it. You do not need to do or be anything extraordinary to esteem yourself. You are a piece of The All – esteem enough for anybody. Just accept it.

From this self-esteem you may develop a positive attitude. If The Source Is All, then The Source supports All. You are supported in everything you do. In this support, then, you may know that All works for your benefit. Who can not have a positive attitude when The All is affirming you?

But, of course, you live in a world that is dynamic. In other words, you are constantly interacting with it. So what does happiness have to do with you interacting in the world? As you are happy from the inside, you beam out that happiness into the world. What you are, is what you’ll get. Who you are inside is who you’ll be on the outside. You beam positivity into the world from your inner core of happiness.

All this comes back around to you in an endless cycle of benevolence. Some name this cycle Karma. You will see and feel this affection when you will look for it. Even looking for it in the midst of tragedies.

Even better than my words here are the “laws” of quantum physics. In other words, I now take this out of opinion and place it in the more substantive world of science. The Universe seeks Harmony. Harmony can be another word for Love. Harmony can be another word for Resonance. When you resonate with the Universe through harmony, happiness, you have placed yourself within sympathetic vibrations, which support you. This harmony gives foundation to happiness, for happiness is harmony. As you beam your bliss into the Universe, it resonates with you and returns the favor over and over again.

The meaning of life is to be happy and that happiness includes the above mentioned extras.

The Meaning of Life and Three Steps to Change

Some find the meaning of life so difficult to take-in that they think change is difficult. Change is difficult. What? Didn’t I just contradict myself? Probably. But please follow for a moment. Change is scary. Stopping smoking is extremely difficult. However, many, many have done it.

In this blog

3 Steps To Change
3 Steps To Change

I am talking about how to get to change. That part is easy.

When you make the beginning easy, the remainder is easier. A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. Exactly. As you take that first step, the rest of the journey is easier. I been through it. You have too.
Here are the three steps to change.

One: Decide. Yep, you have to decide that you are going to change. Without a decision to move in a new direction, you end up stuck in the same situation. Seems like common sense. It is. But so few folks understand this notion. Now you know it and can understand it.

Two: List. Oh, yeah. You gotta make a list of what it is you want to change. It is even best to write that list down and post it somewhere that you will see it. Maybe even see it several times a day. What does this do? It crystalizes your thoughts and feelings around what you want to do. You can’t punch a cloud, there’s nothing there. You can punch a punching bag. It has substance. Your desire to change must have substance. A list gives feelings substance. Make the list short, three or four items. Make your list realistic. (You can’t get to the moon without oxygen and a whole bunch of other stuff. To list that you want to get to the moon without oxygen is unrealistic.)

Three: Aware. Know where you are, facing where you want to be. You can’t know where you are going if you don’t know where you are. Become conscious of who you are and what you are doing. Be mindful. This is the only way to change.

You see, once you’ve found the meaning of life, which is to be happy, you’ll feel impelled to move out from that happiness. You’ll want to beam out your happiness in the form of personal progress. In other words, you may want to change. Such is the natural result of finding the meaning of life.

Follow the three steps outlined just above and you’ll have taken the first stride toward where you want to go and reinforcing within yourself the meaning of life.
